GHD Flat Irons: More Than Just Straightening

Anytime you’re in the mood for smooth, sleek, straight hair, you know what to do - just grab your trusty flat iron and start straightening! But did you know that your GHD flat iron can be used for more than mere straightening? Flat irons are actually incredibly versatile styling tools, and can also be used to make flips, waves, curls, and so on. Ready to put your flat iron to the test? Then check out these tips:

To straighten: This is the most basic, no-nonsense use for your GHD flat iron. Start by blow drying clean hair. (You may want to apply a spray-on thermal protectant before doing so.) Separate hair into small sections and run your iron through to smooth and seal the cuticle. Finish with a lightweight hairspray for hold.

To flip: This is pretty much the same as straightening, with one crucial difference - when you get to the end of your hair, turn your GHD flat iron in the direction you want the flip to go!

To curl: Choose an iron with rounded plates to make the curling process easier. Clamp the hair close to your scalp and turn the iron in the direction you want the curl to begin. Pull the iron through while turning in that direction. Ta-da! Gorgeous curls with a flick of your wrist!
